Minister of Health and Mass Media Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa said that the World Health Organization (WHO) has agreed to hold the 2025 South Asian Regional Conference in Sri Lanka.

The Minister made this statement yesterday (24) morning when he met with Dr. Thamarangsi Thaksaphon, Program Director for the South Asia Office of the World Health Organization (New Delhi), and Mr. Robet Chelminski, Director of Administration, at the Ministry of Health and Mass Media.

Accordingly, it was agreed during the above discussion to organize the South Asian Regional Conference, which is held annually in each of the countries of the South Asian region, to be held in this country later this year.
