The Minister of Health and Local Medicine, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, said that they are planning to allocate an amount of approximately 1500 million rupees this year for the completion of the construction works of the 04 main development projects of the Kandy National Hospital, which are currently halted.

The minister made these comments recently while attending the Kandy National Hospital to investigate the construction work of several development projects that have stalled.

Accordingly, the projects of Kandy National Hospital’s New Cancer Ward Complex, Thalassemia Ward Complex (Bone Marrow Transplant Unit), Accident & Emergency Care Unit, and Isolation Ward Complex to be built for patients who need to be separated were observed by the Minister of Health and Media.
